We built a small boat dock when we first began construction (even before I started this blog) so that we could move the second hand long tail bought we bought to the new house and park it there. (We had been keeping it docked at the local boat shop where we bought it, but I didn’t want to impose too much on the shop owner’s generosity.)

At first we used the boat almost every weekend, but once construction got busy, the boat sat there for a few months without being used. Unfortunately, we weren’t as careful as we should have been in tying it up and it got some minor damage to the sides.

So we recently bought a pair of winches to hoist it out of the water and begin some repairs on it.

I look forward to the day that Praew and I can take the boat to lunch again on the weekends.
