We’ve spent the last few days at the land with Praew’s mother in BaanMae. Just now a dark storm cloud came blowing in.
I feel kinda old saying this but there is something quite enjoyable just sitting on the front balcony in my comfy chair and watching the storm clouds coming in.
The wind is almost violent whipping the tarps set up for shade for the workers. Small waves being blown up in the pond.
And then the temperature plummeting 5-10 degrees in a single minute as the rain starts to being the cooler air down from the higher altitudes.
I know I’m idealizing when I imagine that this is what “life on the land” must have been like pre TV and internet (and blogging) but I can nonetheless enjoy it as a peaceful way to relax in the early evening after a very hot afternoon.
