After we let the bamboo dry for 2 months, we started to tie the bamboo stringers and gunwhale with the main structure.

Started tying from the center point of the center stringer, then cut each end of the stringer to the proper length and tied both ends.

Tied a bowline knot to the hole on the main structure, then rolled over stringer and tied the end to the same hole.

Finish tied up the stringers, so the frame is now done.

We coated all wood parts with an anti-termite coating, painted resin on the nylon rope to increase strength, and paint all of the structure red (This color is called “Drum Beat”) and let it dry for a day.
We used 2 pieces of fiberglass fabric to cover the full width of the boat. We stitched the edges together with glue on the center of the structure. Then we stretched the fiberglass fabric over each stringer until the gunwhales and glued.

We cut all edges of the fiberglass fabric to the boat shape (leaving about 1 inch more at the edges) and painted the resin over the outside the shell.

Let it dry for a day before painting the resin inside.

It looks nearly clear after the first coat of resin. We will see how clear it is when sitting in the water 😁.
