I’ve been a bit too busy to post photos of the progress on the second house. We call it “Baan Rim Naam” now, which just means “house at the edge of the water” since it faces the canal on the back side of our land.
Here is a photo from today:
You can see the steel structural beams mounted to the cement footings. I suspect by New Year’s Eve the roof structure will be in place and it will start to look a bit like a house.

You can see how the horizontal cement cross beams connecting the footings have been buried in construction sand and now only the vertical part is visible. The ground level in the top picture should be the final level once the house is completed.
