I noted at the end of this previous post that we the heatsinks seemed to be getting too hot when we first tested the LED lighting. The heatsinks were getting up to about 90 degrees Celsius. So in our final install, we roughly tripled the size of the heatsinks, and the results were quite promising.

We have four lights wired up and left them on for about half an hour at full intensity. (About 850mA @24VDC shared between all four lights.) The results were between 53 and 59 degrees Celsius.

This should be cool enough for a permanent install.
