Our ten chickens were nice enough to give us eight eggs today. It required a little bit of improvising to come up with containers to carry them home. (These are actually the boxes our circuit breakers came in… but still have 4 eggs left.)

One of them must have come last night after we left.
Two of them came this morning.
The remaining five appeared in the afternoon and early evening.

At this rate, most if not all of the 10 chickens must be laying now. (Chickens don’t usually lay twice in one day, but I’ve read that it does happen occasionally.)

Two of them were hard boiled and ended up in our dinner salad today. (The eggs… not the chickens.) Mondays are salad days.
