About two months back I wrote about how the water level in the pond had dropped substantially from its high after the rainy season last year.

Well it has been raining quite a bit over the last month and the pond is back to nearly full again.

It is hard to see the overflow pipe because the plants have grown around it, but if you look carefully, you can see that the water level is about 10-15cm below the overflow pipe now. Back in March, I measured it at 37cm down, for a difference of about 25cm. This comes out to about 20mm of rise in pond level every 5 days, after subtracting evaporation. (This period of time includes the hot season.)

So given that we will hopefully be living in the floating house, it is worth noting that at least for this year, the water level is still high in December, drops to a low in March, and is high again in May.
