Today was a busy day, but not much of anything exciting.

We spent the day putting the finishing touches on other projects that were mostly completed but just needed a little bit something to be “done”.

We:

  • Crimped the permanent wires and connectors needed to run the solar powered DC water pump that was previously installed.
  • Hooked up the ground wire that we ran between BaanMae and the main utility box when we were running the DC solar power to the walkway lights. Now that we have a ground between the main box and BaanMae, we disconnected the neutral-to-ground bonding on the “outbuilding side” (BaanMae) and activated the RCBO in the main utility box. (Note: there is still a neutral-to-ground bonding in the main utility box, which has its own ground. As is required. It is just that now a dedicated ground wire is in place to make sure the ground at BaanMae and ground at the main utility box are at the same potential.)
  • We were able to use the drinking water filter in the kitchen at BaanMae today for the first time. It was another thing that was installed a little while back, but the outlet to power the UV light wasn’t working. K’Tanawat tracked down the loose connection, and now it is fully functional. The water tastes great, particularly on a day as hot as today.
  • We also added a plug to the wire that was in place for a while to run the aerobic treatment system’s air pump. The air pipe hookup and power wire has been installed installed for a while, but it just needed a plug wired up so that we could turn it on. (I didn’t get a chance to test this one today, but it is basically finished.)
As I said… a busy day. But nothing deserving a post of its own. 🙂
Oh, and we also cleaned up a bunch of the construction tools and wire, etc. that were lying around so that we can go from building the house to actually living in the house now.
Double 🙂
