Another week of heavy rains and the water level has reached from the wall on one end of the pond area to the wall on the other end for the first time.
We are still trying to get all the welding and machining done so we can install the circulation pumps before the water gets too high. But the good news is that the mounting brackets are done, so even if we have to reach into the water to install them, we ought to be okay. We won’t be able to test the actual pumping until the water level gets higher than the pumps, so I anticipate several remove/repair/re-install cycles after it is underwater anyway.
If you look carefully, you can see the 2 blue PVC pumps installed for fitting purposes in the cement cistern on the left side of the photo.
The machining is scheduled to be done on next Wednesday, so final mounting should be done around then. Another storm is supposed to be coming early next week, so the water level might be a bit higher still.
