As anyone that has followed this blog will have noticed by now, Praew and I like the rustic natural wood look around the land here.
The walls are wood, the furniture is wood, and to make the wiring blend in naturally, we even painted our PVC electrical conduit to look like wood.
So for the water tank in BaanLoiNaam, while a blue plastic tank seems like the most appropriate option for practical reasons (lack of corrosion, easy to clean, lightweight, doesn’t easily leak, and easy to source), it would likely stand out sitting overhead in the shower.
Here is a picture of the tanks we bought back in November 2016 for a number of different purposes including under the shower (lower right) and the water tank for the floating house (squat one left top):
After coating it with white paint and about 2 coats of brown paint, it looks like this:
Another few coats of paint, and it roughly matches the wall of BaanLoiNaam:
